Offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Professional Program at Cal State LA Downtown will prepare individuals for both the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exams. Earning a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential allows individuals to become recognized experts and leaders in the HR field by delivering a high level of knowledge and skills with distinct benefits to their organizations. This program is also for those individuals who need recertification credits required by SHRM, and for those not interested in SHRM certification, but simply want to improve their HR skills and continue their professional development.
Cal State LA’s SHRM Program uses curriculum designed by global subject matter experts and covers the entire SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge™ (SHRM BoCK™). Expert instruction, encouragement and peer discussion, combined with the best exam preparation system, will result in individuals learning and retaining the material effectively and efficiently. Upon completion of the program, those who are eligible will be better prepared to take their SHRM exams and achieve career success.
